The Lindbergs' Secret Pals must be out of their minds!!!

Our wonderful, crazy Secret Pals has sent us an incredibly big box for November full of fantastic stuff!

For our child there was an adorable home made outfit, a Pooh teddy bear (I love that it's the original Pooh and not the Disney version!), Chinese fortune telling sticks and burpers (also home made?). I must admit I don't know what burpers are for. I guess it has something to do with burping, but perhaps SP could enlighten me on this point?

For me there was a beautiful red necklace and an equally beautiful Chinese purse, relaxing bath foam and chrysantemum tea. For Dan there was a nice woolen hat for chilly Swedish winter. For us both there were beginners chop sticks and some yummy chocolates. For the cats there were some Holistic Natural Feline Treats! They were very much appreciated!

The absolutely most insane thing was that SP sent Dan six bottles of pumpkin ale!! He didn't drink them all at the same time, but he tried it and liked it very much (and so did I). It was so thoughtful to send something special for Dan!

You are wonderful Secret Pals, but this is absolutely too much - you must stop sending so much!!!

Burpers go on your shoulder to save your clothes from.... milk burps! You hold Margit up and pat her back and she rewards you with the most horrific spew and the cutest burp noise!
Alright Dan! We were so hopeful he liked beer. We thought it was quite good too. We'll show the CCAA! Hopefully between the beer and the hat he'll be warm if he has to go on a picket line. Go union!
Um.... i guess it isn't dan's b-day?
Perhaps that goof is another clue?
We may have "outed" ourselves on this one...

Thank you for the explanation of the burpers! That was what I thought they were for...
I didn't get it that the woolen hat was for when Dan has to stand in the picket line! That is great!
And I think you knew very well that Dan's birthday is very far away... (It's in June!)
Anyway, the beer is great and will go perfectly with all the heavy Christmas food (together with a shot or two of herb flavored aquavit!).

we did hope, a bit, to get Dan "into the spirit," which is why we gave him spirits! But I think we are just idiots about dates and what we think we know vs. what we actually know...
Yes, does Dan have to picket sometimes? One of us belongs to a union or two... We definitly believe in them, so good for Dan!
any Christmas requests for Santa Pal?

So far Dan has not had to do any picketing... The unions in Sweden are quite friendly and don't go on strike very often. They are so big and strong that they ususally find solutions together with the employers' federations through negotiations.

I have only two requests for Christmas: 1. That you don't send us so much stuff! 2. But, if you could send a few of these lovely peanutbutterfilled candies you sent us some time in the beginning, I'd be very grateful! It must have been 18 months ago and I can't seem to get them out of my mind... We don't have them in Sweden.
Take care!
