The Lindbergs' October gift has arrived in Sweden!

I came home today after a week away at a conference and your nice gift was awaiting me! We received pumpkin shaped moulds for (moon)cakes, beautiful Chinese decorations, lotus seed cakes and moon cakes (Finally I'll get to taste one!), a fascinating book on meditation for children, an excellent guide to Chinese customs and etiquette, a sheep-shaped hand doll/rattle and three little balls for the cats. And, of course, a beautiful card! Thank you so much! You are the best secret pals and I'm glad we will contiune the swap in the spring. The days your gifts arrive are always very special days! Bit of a late thank you

Sorry Secret Pal for the delay in posting to the blog. Thank you for the gifts you sent for October. As usual you were extremely generous and everything is lovely. The fans were quickly swiped away by Abi who suddenly seems to be going through a very girly, dressing up phase- what happened to my tough little tomboy?! My own favourite this month is the lovely book, 'At the Beach' , which is a story of a little boy whose mother shows him how to draw various Chinese characters in the sand at the beach. I also love the scroll and will definitely hang that up in 'Baby Xiao Xiao's' nursery once we begin it!

Thank you so much to Julie Strasser for the two beautiful books that I received in October! I wish everyone could see inside the Tails book that Allison received. It is gorgeous! Also, our family unbelievably doesn't have any Curious George books, so we were so excited to get one! Thank you, Julie, for being such a great book buddy.

I shrieked with happiness when I opened my gift this month. These were 2 things on my list to buy, now I don't have to! Baby Blat will be nice and clean with the portable changer that even a Dad will look cool using and a restaurant high chair cover, we like to eat out so that is perfect. Thanks again! Your note was very thoughtful and made me smile. Happy November - another month down!

Well Pals, we really loved our present thank you so much!
We receeived har barrets, a hair bow, and a book about a silly rabbit for Sophie,
and a candle warmer and a handmade holidday sign for us.
Dave loved the sign especially. He hates taking the Halloween decorations down, so he liked having something he could use from September to December, and he has a Linus Van Pelt-esque love for pumpkins, so it was perfect!
Our warmest wishes back to you for your trip. We know you are soon to see the prettiest little girl ever!

Marusa Secret Pal

Our deepest thanks goes to our Secret Pals!!! We received a great package for the months of September and October. We all enjoy (Sydney especially) the receiving our package with wonderful goodies each month. Also, thank you for the emails you have been sending. Our lives are completely turned upside down right now...with David having been away from home since August, the move to Houston, as well as our trip to China at the end of this month. I know God will not give us anything we can't handle!!!!

I can't find my cord to download the pics...I will search for it and will revise the post with pictures.
